Petra Jordan

Petra Jordan

Here I am in Petra in Jordan. The Petra is about halfway from Aqaba to  the capitol city Amman.

Here is the main entrance place before you enter the Petra.

Here is a price list. As you can see 1 day is 50 Jordanian Dinar, 2 days is 55 Jordanian Dinar and 3 days 60 Jordanian Dinar. And the Border entry ticket is 90 Jordanian Dinar but I dont know and understand anything about the Border price.

Here is a Petra visitor centre.

Here is a picture of the Jordanian king which is on the area before you enter the Petra,

Here is a tourist police center. What I know that the tourist police should be more better in English and less corrupt but the Jordanian police are quite corrupt I got taken buy a corrupt police officer.
A seller was persuading me to hop on the horse and got taken buy a corrupt police to pay for the horse ride and he was forcing me and the police officer was so nonchalant about it.

Inside the Petra

Here are two ancient guards looks like blocking the way.

Here are two Jordanian police officers in Jordan. As you can see the police officer on left on this photo that the epaulette and the rank on the arm is British. Jordan has been a British colony before and you can see that the police officer on the left that the uniform is quite British.

A group of tourists on a guide tour.

Here on Petra you can also get transfer with horse ride specially for older people who cant walk very far or visitors in wheelchair this Petra isnt very directly handicap friendly.

Here is a market to buy some souvenirs but be careful the sellers are very intensive like in Egypt.

You can even buy books about Jordan and Petra.
